Art × Technology
Tobias Post is an artist and software developer. He has been programming for over 40 years; since 2022, art has come first – with software development in its service. This page shows what comes of it: exhibitions, interactive works, art in spaces companies know, and the stance and tools behind it.
Exhibitions · 2026
Museum Wendener Hütte
DornenstaubII in the vaulted cellar: 3D sensors capture the visitors, and software he developed himself translates their movements in real time into images on several walls.
Exhibitions
Tobias Post has been exhibiting since 2023 – first painting, since 2025 mainly immersive art, in industrial monuments, museums and churches. In 2026 he was on the curatorial team of “Giganten & Kunst” at Kokerei Hansa; for IGA 2027 he leads the exhibition team of BBK Westfalen.

The stance behind it
“Art is positing”: conscious decisions about forms, rules, gestures and connections. The essays show why, in the AI society, this counts for products too.

Decoration Is Not Avant-Garde
Avant-garde is a moment, not a quality – and every successful avant-garde works towards its own dissolution.

Complexity as Positing
Groups, rhythms, variants – and why new perspectives grow out of abundance.
The tools behind it
These works are made with software of his own, built with AI. The case studies tell where the ideas came from and what only experience decides.
