SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
RADICALLY RETHOUGHT
EXPERIENCE × AI CODING
FOR MANAGEMENT AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
From Bochum, I develop demanding software for companies: specialist applications, digital products, interactive tools, simulations, visualisation systems and feasibility studies. 30 years of experience and AI-assisted development make product ideas technically and commercially testable early on.
WHICH PRODUCT IDEAS CAN BE EXPLORED THIS WAY
FROM IDEA TO A PRODUCT YOU CAN ACTUALLY JUDGE
The relevant unit is therefore not necessarily the single feature. It can be a complete product idea.
- New software products
An entirely new application can be developed far enough for the operating concept, core logic, data structure and technical architecture to be judged together for the first time. What matters is not the simulation of a product in a presentation, but a real state of development against which the product idea can be tested technically and functionally.
- Custom specialist applications
Specialised desktop or web applications can translate domain knowledge into digital tools in their own right. These may include planning systems, editors, configurators, analysis tools, technical working environments or new industry-specific software products.
- Visual and interactive systems
Where products, machines, data, spaces or complex relationships have to be understood visually, 2D and 3D systems, real-time visualisation and interactive models can themselves become the core of a product. Visualisation is then not decoration, but function.
- Simulation and digital models
Where real trials are expensive, slow or organisationally difficult, simulations and digital models can make variants, states and technical relationships examinable. A working environment in its own right can grow out of this.
- New product families
A product idea need not remain confined to a single application. From a solid technical core, specialised tools, editors, runtime systems and different applications for different tasks can emerge.
- Technical feasibility
Sometimes a single technical risk decides a product idea – performance, integration into existing systems, the data situation or usability. Development time can then be aimed squarely at that risk: a robust experiment shows whether the approach holds before larger investments are made.

What has already been built
Three in-house systems as proof of capability. Two come from art and exhibitions – what transfers is the technical achievement behind them: specialist application, real-time system, web platform.
-
Impact4Exhibition – planning and simulating exhibitions
Task: exhibitions were to be played through entirely in digital form before being built – true to scale and from the visitor’s point of view.
Built: a standalone specialist application with a floor-plan editor, an interactive real-time 3D preview, lighting and projection planning, materials, a design assistant and export as a video walkthrough.
Achievement: domain vocabulary – hanging, light, spatial effect – translated into a data model, an interaction logic and a real-time visualisation that works without complex modelling.
For clients: the same pattern supports planning systems, configurators and digital models in other industries – wherever variants should become visible and comparable before they are implemented for real.
-
IMPACT4IMMERSIVE – development environment and runtime
Task: media installations with several screens and projectors, sensors and continuous operation were to be built more robustly and more precisely than with common game engines.
Built: a development environment in C++, Qt and QML with code editor, debugger, node editor and integrated AI for working on code – plus a separate runtime system for multi-channel output, projection mapping, LiDAR sensors and the simulation of target environments.
Achievement: an in-house product family of tool and runtime, used in museum and installation operation. Here AI is also a function in the product – not only a method of development.
For clients: the same building blocks – real-time 2D and 3D, device integration, distributed output, stable runtime, tools for specialists – also carry control rooms, technical visualisation or interactive product presentations.
-
Our own platform – five sites, seven languages
Task: five brands – CUBE4DEV, CUBE4TEC, CUBE4ARTS, CUBE4VIDEO and Unternehmeravantgarde – were to be maintained, translated and published from one shared content base, without a conventional CMS.
Built: a web platform in TypeScript with its own data schema, online editing, seven languages, automated checks for search engines, accessibility and loading time, and automated publishing to social networks.
Achievement: the platform was developed with AI assistance and contains no AI in operation. Method and product stay separate: AI speeds up development, the result is reviewed source code of our own.
For clients: multilingual web systems, editorial workflows and automations with their own validation rules are typical tasks in companies. This shows how such systems come about with AI-assisted development.
TOBIAS POST
For more than 30 years I have been developing software products – as a product developer, software architect and entrepreneur. It began with computer games, first for clients, then as our own productions.
With NOTIONCUBE Software GmbH, today CUBE4DEV GmbH in Bochum in the Ruhr area, came our own products such as the desktop software NOTIONCUBE and NOTIONCUBE 3D – shown at CeBIT and IT-Business in Stuttgart, and covered in c’t magazine.
Today the technical work ranges from desktop applications in C++, Qt and .NET through real-time and 3D systems to web platforms in TypeScript – combined with AI-assisted development.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT BY THE WEEK
FOCUSED DEVELOPMENT TIME. MOVING PRIORITIES. DECIDED WEEK BY WEEK.
You book a development week: focused development time on a question defined together – not a fixed-price project with a predefined scope of functions.
- A shared question: beforehand we clarify which question promises the greatest insight or product value at the current stage.
- Focused development: development runs for one week; new insights may change the priorities.
- Handover of the project state: at the end, the development state reached is available – including the project-specific source code once paid in full.
- Decision on continuing: develop further, go deeper, change course or stop. Every further week is agreed separately.
What you book is development time, not a specific scope of functions and not a specific result. Work starts once payment is received, there is no automatic continuation, and confidential information stays confidential. The details are set out in the B2B terms.
