Case studies · The free line as a system
IMPACT4PAINT
The hand sets the impulse. The system turns it into rhythm, movement and structure.
What it is
Impact4Paint starts with a hand-drawn line. From it emerges a deterministic system of rhythm, repetition and movement – exported as lean QML that lets any object move along the paths.
The spark
Two poles of modernism: the precision of concrete construction and the energy of the free line. For a painter who comes from Art Informel, the gesture is the starting point – every stroke is movement, anchored in the moment.
The idea: keep the gesture and still make it reproducible.
What was built with AI
Built with AI:
- paths that react to each other – draw close to a line and you create nestings
- rhythmic periods per layer, swarms, drift, rotation, pendulum motion
- reproducible seeds instead of uncontrolled randomness
- export as dependency-free QML with a lightweight mover system
What only experience decides
“Not an effect – but structure”: the result is not an animated film, but an exportable structure that can be carried over into other systems.
This decision turns a drawing tool into a building block for installations.

What a company gains
Moving brand elements, wayfinding systems, animations for displays and spaces: where a hand-drawn idea has to work equally well in many sizes and systems, it takes exactly this translation of gesture into structure.
