Case studies · Topic landscapes instead of mind maps
Impact4ArtCore
A mind map shows what is connected. A landscape shows what carries weight.
What it is
Impact4ArtCore makes visible what drives an artistic project: topics become centres on a surface, and from proximity, weight and relationship a topographic landscape emerges, with contour lines, concentrations and valleys.
The spark
Every work grows out of a web of topics, questions, tensions and contradictions – long before any form becomes visible. Mind maps and knowledge graphs only answer what is linked to what. For working on a position of your own, that is not enough.
The idea: show meaning as terrain, not as a network of lines.
What was built with AI
Built with AI:
- a continuous field of meaning made of topics, weights and relationships
- computed contour lines, reliefs, concentrations and transitions
- images, terms and questions together in one landscape
- suggestions from an AI for missing aspects, new perspectives and different weightings
The AI does not deliver decisions here, only stimuli. Control over content and statement stays with the artist.
What only experience decides
The decision against the obvious: not yet another diagramming tool, but a form of representation of its own. The spaces in between gain meaning, related topics merge into regions, tensions become tangible as transitions.
You don't arrive at this form through a feature list. You arrive at it when you know how art comes into being.

What a company gains
Strategy, brand core, innovation fields, research topics: wherever a company has to find out what really drives it, a landscape shows more than a slide full of boxes.
